AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 11 (TIWN): Former BJP MLAs Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha who had quitted BJP Party and Post on 7th February, joined Congress on 8th of February. Tripura Congress has been preparing for a grand welcoming programme for the Home-Returnees top leaders Sudip Roy Barman and Asish who will be fighting the BJP from the front. As more MLAs are in the row, BJP Party has been demoralized, fuelled by Congress State Headquarter’s call to all disheartened party members to join in BJP and other parties to return home. Along with Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha, Tripura Incahrge, National leader Ajay Kumar, Party Tripura President Birjit Sinha and leader Gopal Roy will remain present.

Reportedly, Congress will welcome the leaders at the MBB Airport and also there will be a function in the main office at Post Office Chowmuhani, Agartala.

In a message to all former Congress party members, Tripura Congress Working President Manik Deb said, “With Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha’s joining in the presence of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, the party has got strength. On Saturday, 12.30 pm Tripura Congress will welcome Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha to the party office. Our party President Birjit Sinha will also remain present on the occasion along with Tripura Congress Incharge Ajay Kumar. We want to announce also that the leaders and activists who due to various reasons had quit Congress,  are heartfully welcome in our party. Party needs you to give a strong fight against the evil BJP in 2023 poll".
