AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Alleging the ongoing Dictator regime under Biplab Deb and the ongoing indiscipline, unfulfilled Pre-poll Promises, state-wide hooliganism, and suppressing Common people’s voice have reportedly forced the ruling party MLAs to resign from BJP.
Although BJP claimed that two MLAs' resignation will not affect BJP but soon more MLAs, MP joined the camp in Delhi along with resigned BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha.
The resignation of two heavyweight BJP MLAs will have a huge impact on Tripura BJP’s house ahead of next Assembly Poll. It has been claimed that several BJP MLAs are in row to quit BJP. Today before departing to Delhi, resigned BJP MLA Barman said, “Many MLAs will follow our Path and will join phase by phase, which will be seen by everyone, and this Govt will be rendered to the Minority”.
Tension gripped Tripura BJP as Sudip Roy Barman has declared to render BJP a minority in Tripura and the nervousness of Tripura BJP was visible on BJP leaders’ faces at Krishna Nagar headquarter in the evening press meet. Though challenging Sudip Roy Barman’s statement that BJP will turn the minority, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, “BJP is comfortable and two MLAs’ resignation will not be a matter at all”, but a picture has gone viral on social media showing at least 5 BJP MLAs are now in Delhi, likely to join Congress party. With Asish Das, Asish Saha, Sudip Roy Barman, total 3 MLAs have already resigned from Tripura BJP and now 3 more MLAs were spotted in Delhi with Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha.
Now out of these 6 MLAs, Asish Das had joined TMC earlier though nowadays, he is not active in TMC. BJP’s relationship with IPFT is also in turmoil and one of the IPFT MLAs resigned to join TIPRA Motha party. Rumours are active that Sudip Roy Barman group will join Congress and align with Tipra Motha in the 2023 poll.
The reason behind such rebellions inside the BJP has been only CM Biplab Deb who allegedly was running a Dictator regime and today Sudip Barman has labeled the BJP Govt as “One Man Party” where legislators have no right to exercise their power.
