AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): PM Modi, Amit Shah, top BJP leaders are focussing on Tripura now to save its bastion in the Northeast, where party’s grip is on two states Assam and Tripura. BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman has declared to quit BJP as, on Friday, the MLA said clearly that he is not going to fight 2023 Election with BJP Party symbol. BJP’s kariyakartas who are mostly from Congress party backgrounds are all set to quit the party after a few months. On the other hand, sets of meetings were held in BJP Krishnanagar party headquarter and BJP will now take initiative to bring back the disheartened party workers who quit politics after not getting proper recognition in the party.BJP’s major section’s quitting was confirmed after on Friday, BJP MLA Sudip Barman said, “One thing is clear that I am not going to stand in the upcoming Election 2023 with BJP’s symbol. I am visiting the state and I have already met the deprived party workers who left abandoned".

"Due to certain obstacles, I could not meet my friends but now there is no such obstacle. I am discussing with them what to do", said Barman.

“People are very much angry with this Govt. His (Biplab Deb’s) claims have no connection with reality. Nothing was done in last four years and some foundation stones will be laid before the election”, added Barman.

"Democracy at Peril. Law and Order Collapsed. People have been tortured with fear-psychosis", the BJP MLA further said blasting Biplab Deb led Tripura Govt.

BJP's division started from the point of sacking the then Health Minister Sudip Barman from the Cabinet by CM Biplab Deb.
