AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Tripura BJP’s cold-war is no more a secret in the state but now a few MLAs who were displayed in support of CM Biplab Deb have themselves gone against him. Today, BJP MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik has for the first time blasted the Govt mentioning the continuous harassment of her daughter and her family by police. Arun Bhowmik who was in Congress before joining BJP said, “I will not be silent. I fought against former Congress CM Samir Barman also. My daughter has always been targeted with groundless accusations”. The statement was delivered by the BJP MLA after police entered her daughter’s house in front of her father-in-law.

Arun Bhowmik’s daughter Anindita Bhowmik was suspended from TMC hospital last year after she criticized the Govt on social media.

Today, both Anindita and her father BJP MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik have expressed heavy resentment over such continuous harassment.

At the same time, netizens have slammed Tripura CM Biplab Deb over his cowardice attacks on common men, neitizens, and even own party MLA’s family members.

Trinamool Congress also blasted the Biplab Deb Govt for such undemocratic actions against Anindita Bhoumik.

Tripura and UP’s politics are finding tremendous similarities as both are reeling under crisis. Former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister and prominent OBC leader Swami Prasad Maurya on Friday joined the Samajwadi Party along with another rebel minister Dharam Singh Saini.
Five BJP MLAs and Apna Dal (Sonelal) legislator Amar Singh Chaudhary also joined the SP in the presence of Yadav.

Tripura BJP’s situation is not better than UP BJP as the majority of Tripura BJP MLAs are against Biplab Deb and don’t want to see him continue as CM. Already one BJP MLA Asish Das has resigned and many are on the row. Fight with sacked Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman is no longer a secret.

 There is an open fight between Sudip Roy Barman and CM Biplab Deb and recently with Sudip Barman’s visit to ABVP’s programme had ended up in a bloody fight among the BJP. Back in 2020, BJP experienced a massive open fight, when thousands of BJP supporters gathered with the arrival of BJP national leader Vinod Sonkar and raised, “Biplab Hatao” slogan. With the UP’s current situation, however, there is no doubt what is going to happen with Tripura BJP in the coming days.
