AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): On 13th Jan two ICFAI college students Angel Reang and Abhijit Debbarma’s vehicle suddenly stopped before CM’s convoy due to engine default. Centering this issue, on-duty Traffic Police allegedly assaulted the two students brutally and also used abusive words against them.
48 hours have passed since this incident, but no action has yet been reported.
Today, condemning the act, NSUI placed a memorandum to Traffic SP demanding immediate arrest of the accused Traffic Police.
NSUI strongly condemned the brutal act of Traffic Police and demanded the arrest and strict action within 24 hours. NSUI informed that it will go in massive protests state-wide if the arrest is not done within 24 hours.
Samrat Roy, NSUI leader condemning the brutal act said that “Jungle Raj” is going on in Tripura as earlier too Lathi Charge was done on Students.
