AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): The Deshbandhu Club of Shantir Bazar organized a Pithapuli festival in Shantir Bazar amid COVID 3rd wave.
At the initiative of the club, a three-day ‘Pithe-Puli’ festival is being organized at Shantir Bazar H/S School ground and will be continued till 13th Jan. After the opening of the fair on Tuesday evening public gathering was noticeable amid COVID. Not only that public who were present in the fairground, most of the public were seen without masks where wearing masks is mandatory, also there was not maintained Social Distance in the fair.
The role of the administrative officials was silent spectator, a question being circulated among educated people that under whose order the Fair is being conducted by violating COVID protocols? Also questions circulated why there were no volunteers to follow up and maintain the COVID guidelines in the fairground?
The fair will be continued till tomorrow, now it has remained to be seen what strict action the administrative officials will take against the COVID violators.
