Paralysed Health Services: Emergency case patient did not get treatment in Bishalgarh hospital

AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): State's healthcare system has stagnated in several hospitals due to the negligence of Health staff, resulting patient parties are suffering. The negligence of Health staff in Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital is being revealed day after day. It is known that Mithun Mia, a resident of Charilam met with an accident while riding on his bike with his wife to Agartala on Sunday afternoon. His wife Kulsum Begum was seriously injured in the accident and broke his hand. Meanwhile, with the help of the locals, Mithun Mia and his injured wife were rushed to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.

It is alleged there were no Doctor in Bishalgarh Hospital’s emergency department and after waiting in serious condition for long 45 mins a Doctor entered in the Emergency Department talking on the phone. The patient party also alleged that without giving basic treatment the serious patient was referred to TMC Hospital.

Meanwhile, when local journalists visited to report about the hospital's negligence, some health workers including Doctors in charge of the hospital harassed local journalists and did not allow them to collect news.
