AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): It is known, a patient named Shikha Saha was suffering from back pain and 3 months ago she got severe pain in her back and accordingly her family took to a Doctor named Pravesh Deb Roy, whose chamber is opposite of Bishalgarh Hospital. The Doctor gave medicine to the patient Sikha Saha but the medicine started reverse reaction instead of reducing the back pain. Skin infection started spreading through her body.

Immediately the critical patient was taken to Dr. Chayan Bhattacharjee, but when the Doctor saw the old prescription he was shocked as Dr. Pravesh Deb Roy gave wrong medicine, reportedly.  The medicine given to the patient can be taken by one person only once in a week but the Doctor Pravesh Deb Roy advised him to take one tablet of this medicine every day.

Patient, Sikha Saha’s son Prosenjit Saha said that he will take action against the Doctor legally due to irresponsibility of the Doctor, besides he demanded the Doctor should take responsibility of entire treatment of his mother.

Reportedly, there is a constant competition going on between the reputed doctors to sell the medicines of different reputed companies in the area adjacent to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, and in this competition, some employees of the health department cooperating with them, imagine patient and patient parties.

Local educated people demand that necessary strict action should be taken against those who are forcing patients in the lap of death by giving wrong treatment and wrong medicine.
