AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): In a shocking move of Police, unemployed youths who came to Tripura High Court to file a case against the State Govt over the TSR Job Recruitment scam, were arrested from the court premise. The arrest was alleged as ‘illegal’, ‘undemocratic’ by the arrested youths. “We did not raise any slogan. We did not agitate. We came here to talk to lawyers to file a petition against the job scam. We already announced about filing the petition but can’t people come to Court now? What’s the intention of the Govt? Is there any democracy existing?”
On being asked by the media, a police officer on duty just replied, “No Comment!”
The unemployed youths were brutally treated, stretched to the buses, and women petitioners were also arrested.
TSR Job recruitment’s scam has generated state-wide uproars where massive corruption has been alleged. Bribery, handpicking selection by BJP party leaders has been alleged by BJP party members themselves.
