AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress has assured total legal support to the disheartened job aspirants who staged a protest yesterday in High Court and Gorkha Basti area over alleged TSR Job recruitment scam. Reacting to the media question, TMC Tripura Convener Subal Bhowmik said, “We really do not have any political intention in this case. It is not a subject of politics either. The youths who got jobs, among them, many poor people are there but maximum jobs were given in exchange for money. No merit was checked in an inappropriate manner. We want a Judicial Inquiry to be done by a sitting High Court Justice. With the Judicial inquiry, it will become clear which leaders are behind this scam”.
Massive resentment erupted among the TSR Job aspirants after the list was announced.
There are serious allegations of recruitment scam under the BJP Govt. Yesterday unemployed youths staged a massive protest in Agartala against the alleged scam. The unqualified candidates have displayed in their mobiles how a man who got only 26 was announced as passed whereas others after scoring 70 to 80 did not get jobs.
Moreover, it was promised by Chief Minister Biplab Deb that 2,200 jobs would be given but it was not done and around 1400 jobs were given. The candidates demanded proper clarification of the matter and CM’s statement on that. From the Gorkha Basti area, the candidates then went towards the High Court and staged a protest there.
Reportedly, many of the candidates were directly promised by BJP top leaders to give them jobs but being in the party they were fooled. Reacting to this allegation, Subal Bhowmik said, “Unemployed means Unemployed cutting across political lines. In the end, they all are victims of the politics and scandal”.
