AGARTALA December 29 (TIWN): Tripura CPIM leaders often claim that State administration is the most transparent and dynamic one in country. Any departments of State Govt act upto the mark with best efficiency. But the CAG Report of 2012-2013 fiscal states a completely different story. Home (Police) department seriously failed to collect deployment charges of security personnel in different Central & State departments and PSUs.In their report CAG stated that, each and every wing of police suffered the same loss. CAG also expressed astonishment that, every time the authorities submitted bill for current charges and not mentioned about the outstanding amount. As a result, amount remained as outstanding pending bill for a considerable period of years.According to the report, upto May 2013 the SP (West) had an outstanding deployment charge of 4, 97, 71,632 rupees. SP (Gomati) had an outstanding of deployment charges from banks amounting to 2, 08, 80,064 rupees. The amount under SP (Dhalai) was 3, 06, 49,295 rupees and 2, 28, 33,349 rupees to different banks of this district. SP (South) had an outstanding amount of 4, 20,444 rupees and 1, 77, 07,340 rupees to banks.

SP (Unokoti) had 1, 60, 43,598 rupees and 1, 08, 38,295 rupees outstanding as deployment charges to be collected. SP (North) had an outstanding amount of 74, 94,847 rupees to Dharmanagar SBI branch. Commandant (SAF) had 1, 49, 35,837 rupees and 3, 51, 11,898 rupees as outstanding.

Commandant (Home guard) had an amount of 16, 61,385 rupees. Commandant 1st Battalion TSR had an outstanding amount of 40, 58,545 rupees. Commandant 2nd Battalion TSR had an outstanding amount of 13, 68,207 rupees. 6th Battalion TSR had an amount of 15, 16,022 rupees. The outstanding amounts for 7th and 9th Battalions of TSR were 7, 89,399 rupees and 23, 28,552 rupees respectively. The 10th Battalion TSR had an outstanding amount of 6, 68, 42, 827 rupees. An amount of 54, 85, and 579 lied uncollected with 11th Battalion TSR. Total uncollected and outstanding amount was 31, 07, 37,115 rupees. In a state where the state paramilitary troop TSR is really suffering with many problems and shortcomings with a glorious track record of success and the planning of modernization of police force is undergoing very slowly, there he failure in collecting the deployment charges must not show any golden trace but irresponsibility only.

Now, what action Tripura's Chief Minister cum Home Minister takes is to be seen. Whole administration under lacklustre leadership biting dust in the form of massive losses, inefficieny in key departments like Home, Industry, Commerce, Forest, Health, IT.
