AGARTALA, Oct 26 (TIWN): Miscreants set fire to Kali idol, incident occurred on Sunday night near Pathariadwar High School at Madhupur area under Bishalgarh.
According to the details of the incident, the miscreants set fire to the Kali idol of Kali Mandir in Ward No-3 of Pathariadwar Panchayat. Local people, noticing the fire, rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with water.
On receiving news, Police of Madhupur PS went to the spot to investigate the incident on Monday.
Reportedly, the Kali Puja has been going on since past 17 years. A local suspectedly said that to set fire on Hindu idol is a conspiracy to create riot among the Hindu-Muslim community. However, centering the incident panic generated in Bishalgarh, Madhupur area.
