AGARTALA, Oct 24 (TIWN): Ratanpur Primary Health Center in Rishyamukh block is plagued with various problems. As a result, the staff of this health center, starting from the on-duty doctors, have to face major problems while providing services to the patients who comes to the hospital.

Although the ten-beded Ratanpur Primary Health Center was built during the Left period, the authorities are indifferent to the problems of this health center even after three and a half years of the BJP era. Even during the visit of DFWPM Radha Debbarma Ratanpur Primary Health Center on the 14th of last July, other doctors and health workers including MOIC Pancham Namah of this health center raised various issues regarding the provision of services. DFWPM Radha Debbarma listened to various issues and assured to solve the problem by talking to the higher authorities. But no problem has been solved yet.
Besides, after informing the district authority of South about the problems of Ratanpur Primary Health Center, there was no response recieved from them.
The number of doctors in this health center is three. There are four nurses. There are four GDA staff, one lab technician and one pharmacist. Suping staff six. Despite having adequate health workers in these health centers, the delivery of health services is being hampered. Even two months ago, the health center was connected to Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Dr. Pancham Namah, MOIC of Ratanpur Primary Health Center, said that the biggest problem of this health center is network problem. Due to lack of network, various database collections cannot be uploaded and Ayushman Bharat's cards cannot be used properly. As a result, patient care is neglected most of the times. Database collection has to be uploaded to Belonia CMO Office or SDMO Office. If there was no network problem, the data could be uploaded to this health center and delivered to the cardholder of Ayushman Bharat. There is also no boundary wall. There is no canteen, stationery store or even Drug store Besides, there are no security guards in this health center.
The MOIC also said that the primary system in the hospital has been in a very bad condition for the last two years but there has been no initiative to repair it. Many times there is load shedding. As a result of this load shedding, there is a possibility of spoilage of RV vaccine including Covid vaccine.
The people of the area and the staff of the health department also want the health department to take initiative to solve the various problems of the health center.
