AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): A migrant worker Sufian Ahmed has committed suicide by consuming poison due to financial crisis in Tripura.
This incident has generated tension, resentment in the festival season.
He was referred to Amarpur to Udaipur hospital and then he was transferred to GB hospital but could not survive.
Family said he died out of extreme poverty. His wife said that around a lakh of rupees had been pending to him but the owner did not clear the amount ahead of Durga puja.
Ahmed was under debts and needed to clear the amonuts. After not being paid, he committed suicide, alleged wife.
