AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): On 13th August BJP MLA Biswabandhu Sen who is also the Deputy Speaker of Tripura Assembly passed a violent remark at Dharmanagar before SDM office. He threatened Government employees in a public space that they should be beaten and their bones should be ‘broken into pieces’ if they do not do work properly and raise demands from time to time. Such an unexpected nuisance statement from the BJP MLA raised has shocked the state.

The FIR is significant as although BJP can pressurize police not to take action against the MLA but in Court, the MLA can not deny the charge as his speech was in no way democratic and clearly hate-instigating. Nobody has the right to take laws in hand a democracy and the MLA's speech can never be tolerated under the constitution. The FIR was lodged as instead of apologizing, BJP justified the remark of the MLA saying, the MLA targeted only 'bad employees'

The MLA in the speech said that BJP Yuva Morcha activists already physically beaten up around 60 Govt employees.

MLA Biswabandhu Sen's statement is correct as Revenue Inspector Babul Malakar who is posted at Dharmanagar Tehsil office was attacked by miscreants on 26th August. In a similar way Jharnamoy Debnath and Tinku Deb, two employees of SDM office Dharmanagar have also been assaulted by miscreants.

However, Tripura Employees Unit on 21st August held a protest rally against the threat and demanded action against the MLA.
