AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress continues protests over attack on Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee which took place on 2nd August during Abhishek Banerjee's 1-day visit in Tripura but it has been 5 days that no arrest of the attackers has taken place. The incident took place under Bishramganj PS area on 2nd August and it was alleged that the attack was pre-planned as at the ultimate time, the helicopter was not given to Abhishek Banerjee with technical fault excuse and when Abhishek Banerjee was going by road to Udaipur Matabari the attack took place unprecedently. BJP activists' faces were exposed in the viral video shared by Abhishek Banerjee himself where with sticks and rods the BJP party workers were attacking him but none of them could be identified by Police yet.

Today Trinamool members visited Bishramganj PS and talked to the OC present there, but he told the Trinamool members that he was not present on that moment and no eye witness is ready to give statement. The Trinamool members expressed resentment over the excuse as the same excuse was cited by West Agartala PS police officials also.
