School of Science pays tribute to souls of 140 Pakistani children

Agartala, Dec 17 (TIWN): “If this was our fate we would not have been born”, - this was the message given by students of SCHOOL OF SCIENCE on Wednesday. To protest the gruesome killing of School students at Peshawar, Pakistan by Taliban gunmen, students held a Condolence meeting at SCHOOL OF SCIENCE Campus, Shyamali Bazar in the morning.

They offered floral tributes to the departed soul of their brothers and observed a two minute long silence. Holding placards that protested and condemned the brutal act, the students sought declaration of the 16th December as International Martyr’s Day of children Against Terrorism by United Nations.

Abhijit Bhattacharjee, Principal of SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, expressed his solidarity with the bereaved families and batted for universal brotherhood & humanity. “I have no words to condemn this barbaric act. It goes against humanity. As a teacher I feel, it’s my personal loss”, Mr. Bhattacharjee said, He prayed for early recovery of the injured students. “A mother only knows what she lost”, felt Mrs. Jayasree Bhattacharjee, teacher of SCHOOL OF SCIENCE.
