AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): Amid Veterinary hospitals' miserable conditions, unemployment in the BJP era has hit the ARD Department.

It has been reported that out of 217 posts for Veterinary Field officers (VO) only 100 VOs are working over the state. As a result, on average , a VO has to look over 3 veterinary dispensaries which is next to impossible.
A VO in single is not enough to supervise 3 VD located in various places at a single time. Thereby it is also depriving the poor farmers and pet lovers of the state.
On the other hand, the number of unemployed people in the state reached around 150 . Among them, many have pursued PG and PhD degrees from various parts of the country. In Spite of huge demand, the government has not taken any single step to recruit those eligible doctors, even though they cancelled the post that was about to be recruited by the previous govt in 2017.
Since 2014 there is no recruitment in the state, latest job notifications came in 2014, many vo already retired and seats have not been filled. In 2014 the previous govt sanctioned more than 70 posts seeing the need of the Dept. At present time they should call for more than 100 jobs, so that the department can produce some revenue from farmers' level and include in the GDP.
Since the BJP era,  qualified people have been draining from the state.
Currently, due to lack of facilities many farmers are losing interest in the farming system, and the government is preferring paravets, those who were trained for one year. They simply treat animals, giving Antibiotics, and other harmful medicinal components. Farmers are now bound to take help from these personnel due to inability to get a perfect professional, who has done hard work for 5 year.
Secondly - the outcome for reviving those medicines is directly adding to the food chain die to which many antibiotics are not working in the human body leads to death.
The Responsible person of this death is the system of poor governance and departmental authority of ARD.
