Religion should not be merged with politics: Badal

Agartala, Dec 14 (TIWN): Religion should not be merged with politics in the country, Health Minister Badal Chowdhury in the Annual General Conference of Tripura Government Ayurvedic Doctors’ Association at Bhagah Singh Yuva Awaas, here today. After inaugurating the conference, badal said, “We cannot create barrier towards the public for not to keep trust on any religion. It is an individual thought and rights.”

Criticizing the Central Government, Badal further said, “The present situation of our country is very unfortunate. Religion is being combined with politics in national level which is an obstacle for unity among the country people.”

On the other hand, heavily come down on the Medias, Chowdhury stated that print, electronic and web medias are work for rich people. Sometimes Media spreads tangle under the influence of corporate people, he added.

At such situation, despite several problems, state government has been carrying out different development programmes right from education to road connectivity including power, drinking water in Tripura, said Badal. As a result, Tripura bagged many successive awards in the national level, Badal added.

The delegates and members of the association and many other dignitaries attended the general meeting. Besides, a blood donation camp was also organized by the Tripura Government Ayurvedic Doctors’ Association. A vast number of donors have donated their blood in the camp.
