AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): After TIWN had published series of news on Covid care centre's dilapidated condition in Sabroom's Bhuratali based on patients' complaints and footages that he shared in social media, DM of South District on Tuesday rushed to the Covid Care Centre and personally checked everything including the hygiene maintenance.

The District Magistrate also took the CMO, SDM along with Cleaning and Food Agency People inside and displayed them the situation and heard about patients' grievances. 

Further strict instructions have been given to keep everything in order as per the guidelines so that no more such complaint comes. 

Wearing PPE kits, he also met  the Covid patients and heard their agonies.

Pathetic condition of South Tripura's Bhuratali Covid Care centre under Sabroom sub-division was reported on May 23, where the patients were allegedly bound to clean toilets and bathrooms as nobody was cleaning them.

Also dustbins were overflowing with rotten food items and food quality also remained uneatable. 

After receiving the report, the District Magistrate visited the Covid Centre today.
