AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): SDM Sadar yesterday though was blaming the locals  after nobody came forward to help a Home Isolated family after a woman had died but it is also important to inform the public about funeral process and guidelines and how they can help a family. That family was Covid affected and the Govt had pasted an alert on their gate. In this condition, how can the Administration expect people to come forward if they care for their family members where from babies to old people may get affected ? A psychological analysis shows that people don't go near to Covid dead bodies or Home Isolated people's homes not because they are "Selfish" but they might be concerned about their own family members. (Though Dead Bodies don't spread Covid)  But many people are not sure about the rule whether they can enter a Covid affected home even after someone's death. Thus the administration must stop blaming common men as it's the administration's duty to take action first. How many times has the media reported about  patients who didn't get immediate treatment in hospitals in wait of Covid Negative test reports ?

In front of IGM hospital, a pregnant woman gave birth to a child as Health workers were afraid of her health status on Covid. That type of incident happened repeatedly. If medical staff are concerned, what can be expected from common men. Govt also did not spread any awareness of funeral guidelines of a Covid affected family member. Last year just because MLA Sudip Barman entered a Covid centre and an FIR was filed against him. So, common men are confused also about laws and law's dangers of law when Curfew has kept everyone  immovable.

Moreover, when a person gets Covid, nobody comes forward and that feeling makes people more concerned to be affected by Covid. So, instead of blaming common men, it's important to focus on spreading awareness on funeral guidelines and how locals can help a family. Because right now, people believe that it is illegal to enter a Covid affected family and the laws are confused, unexplained.
