AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): The 10323 teachers are undergoing severe crisis situations due to workless Covid situations amid they are jobless for 14 months. Holding a press meet, the 10323 teachers expressed extreme resentment against the State Govt after 97 teachers died out of the 10323 teachers and their families are devastated. On Sunday afternoon, 10323 Joint Movement Committee said that they can not sit anymore like this and will launch a protest again amid any situation. Talking to the media, teacher Bijoy Krishna Saha said that the families are on the verge of death as they are unable to arrange livelihood for a basic life. He said, instead of dying at home due to Corona, it is better to die on the road. Saha added, "We are going to sit in protest. Next time, they can not remove us from the protest spot. Either the police will kill us or we will die by setting fire to our bodies..."

The terminated teacher further asked the question, whether there was any evidence that 10323 teachers gave bribes for jobs ? The teachers requested the Judiciary to help them by taking a humanitarian stand for their families. "97 deaths do not mean only 97 persons but 97 families are devastated. Last time in 2020's Covid time at least some compensation was given but this year no help has been offered by the Govt. Due to Covid, there is no work and thus the teachers have no resource for livelihood", said Bijoy Krishna Saha.

Yesterday, 51 years old Kajal Bhattacharjee was suffering from severe kidney disease and due to job-loss no proper treatment could be done to him and also medicines could not be purchased. Kajal Bhattacharjee (51) was a graduate teacher, resident of Ajagar Tilla, Khowai. 10323 teachers have condoled his death and requested the State Govt to stand with the families of 10323 teachers. The terminated teachers said that they do not want to lose any more colleagues and requested CM Biplab Deb and Education Minister Ratanlal Nath to keep their promises.
