KAMALPUR, DEC. 13 (TIWN): Under scanner Kamalpur division of TSECL seemed to have a relief as the Audit team not arrived for the next part and the DGM and Senior Manager flew-off to Chennai assuring the official staffs that the Audit team would not arrive in their absence. The staffs and other officials expressed their strong believe that, some kind of nexus had already built up between the Audit team and the unholy officials.

For last two or three months, the Kamalpur Division of TSECL came under the scanner of higher-up officials regarding the embezzlement in projects. In their very first visit, the Audit team got much clues of looting. But the corrupt officials made up a nexus to suppress all the facts.

Then the CMD changed the Audit team and they seized all the documents of following five works on 1st November:

1)     Rakesh BOP MDTW (Phase-I and Phase-II)

2)     Internal Electrification of Kamalpur ESD office

3)     Mini Bio-fertilizer Production Centre at Kalachari No.-3 ( Phase-I and Phase-II)

4)     Bidyamohanpara MDTW

5)     IBBFL( Indo –Bangla Border Flood Lighting) Connection- Reang Forward BOP/ Krishnatilla BOP/ Laxmanchari BOP to Malaya BOP

The Audit team seized the following documents of those works.

1)     Statement of facts, 2) Work details, 3) Funding or Source of fund, 4) Records of estimate of work, 5) Sanction authority of the estimate, 6) Expenditure sanction and Administrative approval of the work, 7) Details of work executor, 8) Details of records of Measurement Books, 9) Person entrusted/assigned for execution of the work with name and designation and 10) Person responsible for supervision of the work.

Two works of office costing 72,000 rupees and 38,000 rupees also came under scanner. But the Senior Manager and the Deputy General Manager became successful to build up a nexus with the Audit team and happily flew to Chennai. Even going before Chennai, the DGM sanctioned bills of some close aide contractors and pocketed a large amount of money from them to bear the expenses of Chennai tour. Who would bell the cat of embezzlement in TSECL Kamalpur Division, is the matter to be seen.
