AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): When Administration, State Health Dept are working day-night in COVID control, night curfews are imposed, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Monday has violated COVID protocols and joined in mass gathering along with BJP MLA Mimi Majumder at Badharghat constituency.
Tripurainfoway Editor Saumen Sarkar has slammed Biplab Deb for his irresponsible attitudes amid the national COVID emergency.
In a tweet, tagging PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the Editor said, "Tripura CM Biplab Deb violating COVID protocols".
During the ADC Poll campaigning also, Biplab Deb was criticized for his mask-less campaigning and uncontrolled social gathering in his rallies and then he was infected by COVID. Recently he was tested negative but in his post-COVID period, Biplab Deb has continued violations of the social distancing rule.
Today Biplab Deb along with MLA Mimi Majumder had visited temples, inaugurated ambulances but the crowd could be avoided if wanted.

When the so called role-model Politicians are violating social distancing rules, people are forced to pay fines for COVID violations.
Earlier also, CM inaugurated ambulance but he did it from his home and in IGM hospital programme, social distancing was maintained but today, the media gathering, local BJP workers' gathering made the scenario ugly during ambulance inauguration, temple visits in MLA Mimi Majumder's constituency Badharghat.
The BJP MLA is also infamous for social distancing violations in the recent times. Question is if the role model political leaders make such blunders, how people will pay respect to such leaders and how the public will be serious about COVID-19 ? India might take a few months to control COVID with vaccination drive completion but amid such a crisis, being a CM does it suit him to set negative examples in the society ?
