AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): BJP MLA Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday, on 3rd day of Tripura Assembly raised question on why a State Govt should be confused or hesitate to regularize SSA teachers even after High Court's Order, when many other states have already regularized them without Court's permission ? Addressing in the Assembly, MLA Sushanta Chowdhury also reminded Minister Ratanlal Nath about the promises to the SSA teachers about regularization. Sushanta Chowdhury said, "Earlier also, when was asked about SSA teachers regularization, both Finance Minister and Education Minister said that they are waiting for the High Court's verdict. Today High Court has given verdict in their support. Their number is also high around 5,500. Sabka-Sath, Sabka-Bikas is not possible without such a big numbers of people and their families". Sushanta Chowdhury also reminded Minister Ratanlal Nath about 2014 Assembly Session, when as an opposition MLA he demanded regularization of SSA teachers and debated with the then Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha and Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty.

"Today I have to remind the Education Minister how did we participate in the programmes of SSA teachers and even after Election victory also, they were given same promise. Today Court has given verdict in their support. So, we have to save them as we don't want the second batch of 10323 teachers through them", said Sushanta Chowdhury.

"There is an Educational qualification required but only 100 to 150 teachers may be affected through it. We have to remember that Assam, Manipur many states have regularized teachers without any Court's permission", said Sushanta Chowdhury.
