KAMALPUR, Dec 11 (TIWN): After extreme debacle in implementing the fertilizer-production from wastage in Kailasahar Municipal Council and much hurly-burly by the opposition in Ambassa Municipal Council, the agency Proton Environment came under scanner at Kamalpur for the same project. Even the Nagar Panchayat authority denied the handing over of agency’s garbage accumulation vehicles to the Nagar Panchayat authority.

While speaking with TIWN in this matter, Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Khana Das assured, “We are having a close look on their activities. An empowered committee is supervising the complete work. We would not tolerate any reluctance on their part; neither would we accept the project without final completion.” However, Mrs. Das expressed that; the NGO would perform the work as per commitment. The work was funded from BRGF costing an amount of 70, 00,000 rupees.

It is worthy to mention that, the same NGO created much unrest in implementing the same work first at Kailasahar Municipal Council and recently at Ambassa Municipal Council. But still, the NGO is entitled with such work in many more areas. Now what Happens with the Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat is the matter to be seen. More interestingly, when the CPIM raised allegation against Ambassa Municipal Council for embezzlement in this scheme, then Congress is quite shut up in the cases of Kailasahar and Kamalpur.
