UDAIPUR, December 11 (TIWN): In the ongoing corruptions across the state, a recent inclusion is a woman contractual worker under NRHM in Udaipur Tripurasundari Sub Divisional Hospital. This woman worker, has been doing her service only for 11 months but somehow she applied a loan of Rs 3 lakh from Tripura Gramin Bank's Udaipur Branch and accordingly while submitting her loan application she forged the signature of Chief Medical Officer Gomati District, Dr Nirumohan Jamatia, who is also the Drawing and Disbursement Officer(DDO) and accordingly the Bank authorities sanctioned the loan as the Branch Manager found 70% similarities in CMOs signature during verification. All on a sudden it was learnt that the NRHM worker has forged the signature of the CMO in her loan application in her salary statement and declaration of loan installments payments. Health Officials working in CMO Office told TIWN," If an in partial investigation is done many of such cases will be found. And it is no surprise that in most of the cases ruling party's Employees' were closely connected. "

     Ever since her appointment in Tripura Sundari Sub Divisional Hospital under SDMO eleven months before this contractual NRHM employee namely Priyanka Datta, D/O-Tapan Datta of Kailashahar, is alleged to be involved in several illegal activities But due to her political influence and considering that she is a young girl CMO Dr Nirumohan Jamatia did not take any legal action against Priyanka. But when the matter of forgery and that too his own signature came to him CMO lost his patience. Speaking to the media persons Dr Nirumohan Jamatia did not conceal his despair saying ," Indeed, she forged my signature in the loan application( in the DDOs salary statement and declaration of regular loan payment). As per rule such matter will be brought to my notice after four officials' checking. But in this particular incident the matter was not even conveyed to any of the four officials and this certainly indicates that Priyanka Datta was going through irregularities from the very beginning. "

       It is to be mentioned here that Priyanka Datta applied for a loan of Rs 3 lakh from Tripura Gramin Bank's(TGB) Udaipur Branch under House Repairing Plan. As per rules TGB will sanction the loan amount as soon as the DDO takes the responsibility of paying the monthly loan installments regularly. Accordingly Pritanka Datta too applied for this loan and it was duly sanctioned by the TGB as she submitted the salary statement along with two declaration forms of her guarantors. Already she drew almost 70% of the said loan. But somehow a Health Official came to know about this and informed the CMO. Initially the CMO made an inquiry and found that Priyaka Datta has indeed forged his signatures. Immediately he informed the bank authorities about the said matter. The bank too informed the CMO that Priyanka had already drawn 70% of the said loan (Rs 2 lakh approx). All were stunned at this.

      In this connection TIWN had a chat with the Branch Manager of  TGB Udaipur Branch Uttam Kumar Saha, who said ," I have been working as Branch Manager for the last 15 years and as natural consequences sanctioned so many loans without any defaulter. But in this case also when I got the salary statement from her DDO that resembles 70% authentication as well as two duly filled up forms from her two guarantors( with permission from DDO) I was in a position to sanction the loan . During my 15 years of service this is first incident where an case of forgery was lodged against the applicant by her authority. However, till date I have not lodged any FIR against Priyanka considering her future and the fact that she is a young girl and by doing this I gave her a chance to rectify her wrongdoings. ''

      Strangely enough the accused Priyanka Datta told TIWN," I applied for the loan after the DDO approved the same. But now he is denying everything. One can easily understand the even after the submission of loan application the bank authorities sanctioned the loan after the verification of signature of my DDO. " But with in few seconds Priyanka Datta twisted from her statement saying ," I promised to the CMO to refund the loan amount that I drew from TGB within 7 days. " The question is how can a contractual worker do this unless she has been encouraged by section of employees? And accordingly many of the Health Officials working in CMO Office told TIWN," If an in partial investigation is done many of such cases will be found.      Reacting to this CMO told TIWN ," It is still beyond my imagination that how a bank can grant a loan of Rs 3 lakh to an employee whose job is purely on contractual basis. However, on 9th December I lodged an FIR against Priyanka, the accused. Again on 10th December I had to make some correction in the FIR as suggested by the Investigating Officer . Now the next course of action can only be taken after the instruction of the higher authority is reached. "

     Meanwhile Investigating Officer of R K Pur Police Station Sub Inspector Bidya Debbarma said," Just now I got the complaint. Accordingly we will do investigation. Only after the investigation is completed, we will be in a position to clear our point. However, once the investigation is completed, everything will be brought to peoples' notice.". Already a section of H B Road employees leaders are learnt to have assured the accused not to worry about anything. According yo TIWN sources ," A gang of corrupt employees under the leadership of Das Babu is the Mastermind behind all such illegal matters. But as he has string political background, none dare to raise any voice against him."
