AGARTALA, 14 March (TIWN): 76 year old man allegedly has raped a minor girl in absence of her family members, incident took place at Krishnapur area under PR Bari police station, Belonia.

According to details it is known on the day of Shiv Chaturdashi the minor girl's parents went to the local Shiv temple for Worship. The little girl was alone at home and the old man next door to them took the opportunity of being alone at home and committed crime. Later, the 9-year-old girl confessed to being raped by the 76-year-old man. A case was filed at the PR Bari PS.

The PR Bari police arrested the accused, Manoranjan Debnath and he will be taken to the Belonia District and Sessions Court on Sunday.
