AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): The agitating 10323 teachers under "Joint Movement Committee" may start a massive protest as the deadline given by the committee to the State Government has crossed today. "We already gave much time to the Govt and January 6 was the last day of the ultimatum to the Government. Now, we have to protest and the Committee will decide the protest form but if the next protest turns undemocratic or violating, for that 10323 teachers will not be responsible but the State Govt will be responsible for that", said JMC. "We will not allow any injustice to happen to the 10323 teachers and will not accept any intrigue against us. There are many attempts taken from inside and outside to break the 10323 teachers' unity. But let us clarify that no attempt will be working out, as 10323 teachers are united and will not return home without getting their rights", said a member of the JMC. Talking about the unfulfilled promise by CM Biplab Deb, the JMC said that it is quite unexpected that the chief of the state is not keeping his words".

 This is absolutely a shame that the Chief Minister can lie like this with a sweet tune while speaking before us. He only sought 2 months to end our problems", the JMC members in protest added. 

JMC started protest from 7th December, 2020 and since then, the agitation continues without any breakoff amid extreme cold temperature of the winter-season.

"We are protesting for 32 days but there is no attempt by the Govt for discussion with us. History know that only discussion is the only means for problem solution, not war but today Tripura Govt is not taking any action to solve those problems", said JMC.

"If anything wrong happens from now, for that we the 10323 teachers will not be responsible but the Govt will be responsible, because, it did not go for any discussion withus", stated JMC.
