AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): Taking 360 degree turn from pre-poll promise of providing 50,000 Govt jobs in 1-Year, now, the BJP Govt after election is busy in abolishment of posts at its best. After abolishing thousands of teaching posts, now in two phrases has abolished various posts including over 500 posts under the revenue department, which has erupted mass resentments among the job aspirants. Tripura's position is fourth in the whole country as per CMIE's unemployment data this month. BJP before the election also promised to give jobs with misses calls and after election, CM Biplab deb promised 7 lakh jobs in 30 months but not even 15,000 Jobs including regular, contractual could be given when terminations numbers multi-thousand. CM Biplab Deb has been trolled in social media and by own Party MLAs after he claimed to give 23,001 jobs in last 33 months under the present Govt.
In protest, DYFI has staged protest today against the steps taken by BJP led State Govt to abolish all existing posts. After assuming power, the Govt first stopped all existing recruitment process and now started abolishment of posts. Thousands of teachers posts were also abolished and 10323 teachers' vacant posts have not yet been fulfilled amid High Court and Supreme Court's orders.​ In protest against such anti-unemployed youths decision, DYFI has staged massive protest in Agartala today. DYFI State Secretary Nabarun Deb said that around 4500 posts were abolished so far.
