AGARTALA, Dec 8 (TIWN): With over 75 death tolls among 10323, jobless condition for long 9 months and Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath's silent-politics with the teachers taking 360 degree turn from given promises, the 10323 teachers have now been bound to sit in demonstration from yesterday for an uncertain period of time. The united protest of 10323 teachers will continue for indefinite period of time until the Govt gives them jobs which was promised before and after election by BJP Party and Govt.
Yesterday, after whole day's protest when no Govt representative visited their agitation spot, the victim teachers continued their protests in night hours, spending whole night under open sky amid heavy cold and extreme weather at 16 degree, the teachers continued their protests on the heart of Agartala city.
Before election Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had announced in public that once BJP is voted to power here, it will resolve the 10323 teachers issue and if necessary, it will enact an amendment to save 10323 teachers livelihoods.
When before 7 months teachers were urging the Govt to fulfill its promise, Minister Ratanlal Nath said if he is alive, nothing will happen to 10323 teachers but till now Govt could not fulfil its promise although the teachers are jobless for 9 months.
Even before 2 months, CM Biplab Deb sought 2 months for doing something for the 10323 teachers but as 2 months have passed, 10323 teachers were bound to start agitation for an indefinite period of time and said they will continue in 'do or die' motion. "Various leaders gave us various promises from State to Centre. We too trusted them but where is their Double Engine ? Where are those leaders ?", asked 10323 teachers.
"We also have children but why so much enmity with us ? We don't need much but just time times meals we demand", said a sacked teacher.
BJP in its Vision Document also promised to save the 10323 teachers livelihood with a permanent solution.
