AGARTALA, December 2 (TIWN): Tripura cabinet on Monday during a meet with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, submitted a memorandum consisting of so called key issues. In a memorandum, Sarkar has given a 9 charter of demands including improvement of connectivity including surface, railways, agriculture, irrigations, power, education and health care. And Manik’s memorandum excluded MGNREGA issue, which Manik Sarkar called “not important”. It is to be mentioned here, the central govt. had curtailed the MGNREGA fund here in Tripura.Since after, launching a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi-led NDA government for its "anti-poor" policies, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has been saying that the Centre is trying to dilute rural job scheme in MGNREGA through various routes including significant curtailing of funds. Beside just before the visit of Modi here in Tripura, CPIM had launched a protest against the MGNREGA fund curtailment in front of Parliament at Delhi on November 26, and that too lead by Manik Sarkar.

However, but a big change could be found recently on Manik’s strategy, when talking to the media persons at the secretariat earlier before the Modi’s visit in Tripura, Manik Sarkar clarified that the MGNREGA issue is not a key issue to draw the attention of PM Modi. And this has of course come true in the recently placed memorandum to Modi during his visit in Tripura, where Manik babu has made no importance to the MGNREGA issue in Tripura.

It is to be mentioned here that, kept on changing his strategy, does Manik Sarkar really doesn’t want to drop his scam source? MGNREGA has now become an income source for Manik’s govt. and this is what he calls “not important issue”.

What did Manik really meant making the MGNREGA not important for the people of the state as well as for Modi? Why he kept the issue aside in the memorandum placed to Modi? Is it like fooling the poor people of the state once again Mr. Manik Sarkar will keep on showing drama and say that MGNREGA is not important issue?

“Manik Sarkar is for the poor people of the state” – it is to be mentioned here that being for the poor people is to save them or to make them fool by looting the centrally sponsored MGNREGA funds ? On November 26 the CPI (M) lead by the Tripura CM Manik Sarkar led a protest against the dilution of the MGNREGA fund and later coming here in Tripura Manik Babu say that MGNREGA is not important as the Central Govt. is much aware of it.

But, what it meant for the people of the state? To comment here, exclusion of the MGNREGA issue in the memorandum, placed to Modi on Monday made it crystal clear that Manik Sarkar and his govt. is still worried of Bishalgarh MGNREGA scam, and this might be the only reason that tied the hand of Manik Sarkar to include the MGNREGA issue in the memorandum. Beside it is also mentionable that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar – the so called Mr. Clean cannot get rid of easily from such a massive scams that has gripped the state tight.

In the ongoing 'Statewide Scam Festival of Manik's Tripura' it is not quite sure how many more scams are going to be unearthed? All the recent scams which was unearthed in the recent time all the scamsters are close aids of So. Called Mr. Clean Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who is also known as the poorest and honest Chief Minister’s in all over India.
