AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): NCC police identified three persons who were involved in the attack on lady doctor occurred in Bhagat Singh Covid Care Centre on 25 July.

Police identified them from the CCTV footage installed in the Centre. After they tested negative and declared Covid free, they are instructed to stay insolated for another 14 days. The three accused persons are taken to Hapania Isolation ward. After 14 days they will be arrested and presented before Court.

Reportedly, on 25 July a group of five post Cesarean Covid positive mothers with their newborns were taken to Bhagat Singh Covid Care Centre for treatment when the already existing patients stopped them saying, "No more Covid patients will be allowed here, there's no enough space left". When the medical team went there to talk with the angry patients, they started using extremely 'rude', 'slang' words, said Dr. Sangeeta Chakraborty. And after a long argument when  Dr. Chakraborty was making a call to the higher authorities for a solution, a yellow shirted person spat on her from the upper floor.

After this news came out, people across the state strongly condemned this uncivilized act. Now it is to see what action will be taken against the people who performed in this cruel act against the Doctor.
