AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): Increasing murders, unnatural deaths in Tripura are raising fingers at the law and order of the state. After horrifying murder incident in Gandachera, where miscreants entered in a home, kidnapped a man, injured wife and later thew his beheaded dead body in home, now once again another suspected murder incident reported from Santir Bazar. Reportedly, Udaipur resident Pulak Saha (45) was missing form Thursday night. Today his dead body was found hanging in Razapur of Santir Bazar. Seeing the dead body, locals informed Manpathar PS immediately and now police have sent his body for post mortem. Pulak Saha’s family has alleged this incident as murder, as there was no sign of frustration within him. Also they asked, why a man from Udaipur will come here to commit suicide. Family sought proper investigation.

However, when the Govt and Opposition are busy in blame games and Govt in its full effort to defend it saying crime decreasing, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday said that crimes are decreasing as numbers of rapes, murders are less than CPI-M era.

Politically clever answer, how far has developed the situation it’s far from discussion although.

“Total crime against women 74, motor accident 31, other IPC cases 48. But if we see from January these cases are very less. Even in 2018 also the numbers were less. In comparison CPI-M era’s crime rates were higher. In murder, there are huge difference between 2017 and 2019”, said Ratanlal Nath.

“In 2017 murders were 47, in 2018 murders were 52 numbers, In 2019 total 51 murders and in 2020 total 44 murders occurred”, he added.
