AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): Just one day after, administration had called the market committees to support the Govt and to work in collaboration with the administration in the Lockdown crisis period, TSR jawans led brutality was alleged and the issues raised up to the local police station and higher authority, erupted massive tension in the market premises. The vendors have called for indefinite period of strike if they do not get justice and action taken against police for that. After police assured neutral investigation, the strike decision was called off but said, if action is not taken, then the sellers will shutdown markets. The incident happened, amid nationwide lockdown and centering the incident mass gathering was observed in Agartala Gol Bazar. The businessmen and few customers raised complaint against TSR jawans for using excessive force with bleeding evidence on their bodies. A customer whose whole body was shaking in fear along with massive injury on his hand, he said, he just came to buy vegetables for his home but was brutally beaten by TSR. In Gol Bazar outpost complaint was given and the present officer said, if anything happens like this, definitely action will be taken.

Businessmen alleged that police entered in each shop and beaten them. However, from the police side, no statement received yet. Complaint was given to higher authorities demanding justice. Visiting the police station, Bazar committee members demanded proper investigation.

They said, for long one month, the workers are cooperating with the Govt. They are sitting under sun just to maintain social distancing but after all these, such attitude from administration is unexpected. The bazar committee and organizations beyond division, have jointly demanded justice to the sellers.
