AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 20 (TIWN): Former MP, Minister Jitendra Choudhury has sought a copy of the final verdict of Supreme Court in 13000 non-teaching posts which were created by the then Left Govt as alternative jobs for 10323 teachers. Jitendra Choudhury’s statement came after Law cum Education Minister Ratanlal Nath while announcing future plans on 10323 teachers said that 13000 posts were cancelled by Supreme Court. Choudhury asked, as Ratanlal Nath said those posts were cancelled, he just has to give a copy of final verdict of the Supreme Court. It can be mentioned here that those 13000 posts created by the then Manik Sarkar led Govt were challenged in Supreme Court. Initially Supreme Court gave a stay order on them but later what happened to the case nothing is known, but reportedly there is no objection remained on those and just a cabinet decision or Assembly nob can reactivate those posts.

However, for now, no new post created for 10323 teachers' problem solution, but BJP Govt is aimed to fillup existing 10,661 vacant posts and petition will be filed in Supreme Court in this regard. Education Minister Ratanlal Nath addressing media said that this was the only option left to the Cabinet which decided this for solving the problem of 10323 teachers and Govt is also thinking other ways but nothing will be disclosed now.
