AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): Whereas Chief Minister Biplab Deb who is also holding the Home Ministry yet to meet the victim family of murdered 22 years old girl, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, top MLAs have visited Mohanpur victim’s home who was brutally murdered after rape on March 12. MLA Tapan Chakraborty, Sudhan Das, Badal Chowdhury also visited along with Manik Sarkar. After meeting the family, visiting the incident’s spot where the girl was found burnt, Manik Sarkar said that the level of terror of the incident needs not to be explained further in this case. “Who did this, why did it happen…….everyone wants to know. The only solution is police’s neutral investigation. This accused person was very known to the family. The family is so poor that the girl’s B.Ed degree’s dream remained pending”, said Manik Sarkar. Manik Sarkar also visited the Police station and talked to top police officials. In the horrifying rape, murder of 22 years old girl incident in Mohanpur, arrested Saurabh Pal was sent in Police remand for 7 days.

The case was registered in Sidhai Police with case no-25, Under Section 364, 302, 376B, 201, 34 IPC after on 12th March burnt dead body of a 22 years old girl was found in a village in Mohanpur.

Police sought 7 days police remand for him and judge also allowed 7 days remand for investigation.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb who is also holding the portfolio of Home Ministry, is in massive controversy due to the deteriorating law and order situations in his state and his silent role.

On the other side, no action has been taken against police  in Sidhai PS for not lodging missing complaint on 12th March which has caused pathetic death of 22 years old girl in Mohanpur.

In the whole episode took place at a span of 24 hours, Police’s role remained totally unsatisfactory and numb as Sidhai Police under Law Minister Ratanlal Nath’s own constituency denied to lodge missing complaint when her mother went to file the complaint. The victim’s mother said that she was treated by police in very rude manner and was insulted when she sought police’s help. No police came to the missing girl's house, neither any investigation or search operation started and on next day, her blazed body was found in pathetic condition in a paddy field. But most shockingly from Congress to Left, even lawyers’ body attacked on yesterday, prevented when they went to meet the victim’s family.
