AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 17 (TIWN): Poverty level seems has gone higher in Tripura with an “ironical alarm†after MGNREGA website displayed that BJP MLA Subhash Das’s two sons are getting MGNREGA mandays without doing any work practically on field. Interestingly, when local people are not getting even 50 days MGNREGA works, the two sons of Nalchar MLA allegedly are getting more than 80 days MGNREGA works but fact is that the MLA’s sons were never seen near to the field works. It has proven again that former CM Manik Sarkar’s allegations on mandays-corruption is true. What the opposition CPI-M warned is now resulted in fact that without working on fields, the BJP cadres are sipping MGNREGA mandays and that’s how BJP is running its party here in the state. This might be the cause behind the madays distribution doubts. Although MGNREGA funds data-wise said increased for Tripura and Ministers are claiming ‘massive Central Funds flows’, but mouths to mouths ‘slashed MGNREGA’ are alleged by poor and needy people.
Earlier, it was seen that even Govt employees in BJP’s blessing getting MGNREGA works in Tripura. The MLA whose two sons are getting MGNREGA mandays is Subash Das, MLA of Nalchar constituency.
