AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Tripura Law Minister who recently stated 86% Indians having AIDS, said that journalists do not understand budget.
He slammed media, accused for misleading the people. Nath’s statement came after Northeast didn’t get anything from the budget and his Govt imposed 26% taxes on common men.
Nath also added, many Govt employees do not understand budget, a Daily Bengali newspaper has reported.
On being asked by media about financial issues, said that no financial crisis was felt in Tripura at all.
Nath statement came amid massive MGNREGA work crisis in the state, Govt’s inability to give jobs, shutting down of 961 schools and far from promise fulfillment.
Moreover, BJP Govt has increased huge taxes, scrapped free medical health service and placed zero-deficit budget. Massive terminations, electricity bill hikes also took place under the BJP Govt.
However, Nath said, due to CPI-M Govt’ failure to provide Utilization Certificates to centre, many funding were slashed/paused.
