AGARTALA, Feb 2 (TIWN): 3 Custodial murder cases, honest official Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl’s murder by car accident by drug smugglers, threat to lady police by BJP activists to run vehicle over her, ‘maar dalunga’ threat by BJP leader to IPS Officers are the few examples that BJP era has developed as means to kill others. Also recently a doctor was beaten by local BJP hooligans at Dharmanagar after he denied to give any ‘chanda’ to them. The issue was raised, after a lady police officer was harassed by BJP local vehicle drivers and threatened her to kill by running their cars over her which was caught in camera when she was checking vehicles of public. A leader among the drivers was seen telling his colleagues, “Next time kill her by running your car, if you see her in morning duty of vehicle checking”. They further threatened her saying, she must not sit more than once in their area.

The incident took place at Gandacherra after police sat on road to check vehicles. Sources alleged, few of the goons who were seen threatening her are drug smugglers and they carry drugs often in their vehicle.

As a result if police starts checking in early morning then it may put them in jail. However, with the available video footage what was found that big sized men are shouting with filthy languages with a lady police officer and threatening her to kill if next time she comes.3 local BJP leaders threatening the woman police officer has been identified as Bidhan Das, Madhu Saha and Rabi Das.

The killing style as threatened by them was by rushing a car on her is the same method by which recently a police officer named Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl was killed by Boxonagar based drug smugglers. 

Tripura Human Rights Organization (THRO) has sought Judicial probe in the 3 custodial murder cases which occurred in last 3 months.

In last 3 months 3 custodial alleged murders / unnatural deaths in Tripura turning the state into UP. 

After two horrifying police custodial murder cases reported in Tripura in last 3 months, one more unnatural custodial death was reported from the Bishalgarh Jail on January 28.
