AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): 40 years long MLA career without a single election defeat, South Tripura’s most favourite uncorrupt politician and modern Tripura’s architect, former PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury was treated worse than a murderer in last 104 days by Tripura Police under order of ADGP Rajib Singh in a politically motivated case against him, but ironically the same officer failed to send his police to the CJM court premise today when BJP MLA Krishnadhan Das was produced before the Court.
MLA Krishnadhan Das is the open-secret mafia-MLA, uneducated and also holding two degrees of higher secondary passing marksheets with two different boards, submitted in blunder to Election Commission. Under his order, so many innocents were arrested including one daily worker Dipak Debnath who was arrested at night 2 am without any FIR after he shared a news against Krishnadhan Das.
After BJP Govt came in power, so many complaints were lodged against him and also another MLA Ram Prasad Pal but police couldn’t take any action against them, including MP Pratima Bhowmik who threatened an IPS officer to kill him on spot.
Nevertheless, in a case under previous Govt after Krishnadhan Das attacked at the then CM Manik Sarkar’s residence, many police officials were injured. On that time, a case was filed against him but for not appearing before court, Judge ordered a non-bailable warrant against Das.
But surprisingly, when produced before Court not a single police official was present along with Krishnadhan Das. Court today asked Das to be present on February 4.
On the other hand, the tortures on opposition activists, Govt critics, journalists and even former Minister Badal Chowdhury all were led by Tripura Police directly or indirectly under ADGP Rajiv Singh.
However, Rajiv Singh is reportedly the mastermind for all these, specially attacks on media, but when it comes about ruling party MLA, ADGP’s power turns exactly as “Govt Servant”.
