AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): A massive protest rally was staged in Agartala by Leftist Employees unit against the privatization mode of recruitment in the Govt departments.

The protest rally was marched by Tripura Karmachari Samannoy Samiti.

While agitating, the leaders said that outsourcing employment by corrupt means and calling tender to identify qualified jobs aspirants is totally illegal and in govt dept such recruitments can not be done. Around 3,000 to 3,300 posts will be reportedly being filled by Tripura Govt in various depts by this mean from TSECL to Social Welfare Dept. CPI-M as pre-announced has stated protest against it.

CPI-M said when BJP promised to 50000 jobs in 1-year, now to appoint own party people, Govt has started to recruit in illegal means. On the other side, around 1,100 “Gram Sevak” to be recruited but again the process could not be known.  Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has announced that around 1,100 Gram Sevaks will be recruited in the state soon. He made the announcement while commencing of Police Week Parade at Manoranjan Debbarman Stadium at Agartala this morning.

Within 21 months of a Govt, various corruptions, violation of guidelines have been exposed although Chief Minister Biplab Deb has continued to claim that BJP Govt is following “Transparent” recruitment policy. Earlier, illegal tender for cancer medicine purchasing was exposed under the Health Dept and then cancellation of existing recruitment’s decision also faced a major blow when High ordered Tripura Govt to recruit TPS officers cancelling Govt’s decision of recruitment-cancellation. Then recently allegation raised against Education Dept for leaking question papers under Ratanlal Nath. Amid all these, another expose of corruption reported when High Court of Tripura cancelled illegally recruited 5 APP recruitments.

On January 13, Tripura High Court has cancelled illegal termination of a pump operator Uttam Deb who was terminated in an order by Minister Manoj Kanti Deb. At the same time, High Court also has cancelled the illegal recruitment of one Joyjeet Mandal who was recruited under the recommendation of Minister Manoj Kanti Deb. Advocate Biplab Debnath has represented the petitioner in the High Court before the bench of Justice Subashish Talapatra.
