AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): In a rape case, Tripura Police have not seek police remand and the reason is allegedly, the rape accused belongs to a BJP family.
But surprisingly, in Facebook related posts, Tripura Police ask for police remand.
The BJP family’s son, Samir Debnath who himself is a BJP activist has allegedly raped a housewife of a minority community’s family.
Even after medical report of rape allegation was found positive, Govt side lawyer did not appeal for any police remand whereas in case of Facebook posts, Tripura Police demands 5 days Police custody.
However, accused Samir Debnath was sent in Jail custody till January 29 in connection with the rape incident.
