AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): DYFI, TYF, Leftist students wings have forwarded their full support to the upcoming trade union strike on January 8 and held a massive rally in support of that strike.
DYFI State Secretary Nabarun Deb said that as employment issue is a part of trade unions’ strike thus, DYFI and TYF have supported it. Across India DYFI will observe the strike.
Now a days, DYFI activists are seen posting banners, paintings on walls as a part of strike propaganda.
Central trade unions gave a call for a nationwide general strike on January 8 against government's alleged failure to respond to demands of workers. As many as 10 central unions announced the strike in national open mass convention of workers, as per a joint statement issued by them.
CITU informed that Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to be a part of CITU’s protest on 8th January.
As a part of the upcoming strike schedule, preparations and campaigning have been started in Tripura in full wave.
