KAMALPUR, Nov 1 (TIWN) : DWS Kamalpur division received a major jolt when, the ADM enquired the incident and departmental proceedings regarding the water tank collapse and death of a BSF jawan namely Sriramakrishna.

 It was due to extensive coverage of TIWN, that efforts of DWS authority to safeguard the corrupt Implementing Engineer and the contractor failed very badly. The situation further worsened today, when the ADM physically visited the spot and enquired about the proceedings against the concerned officials, as the DM ordered to take up immediately. But, the authority even failed to show the letter of DM, in which DM ordered the Executive Engineer to measure early and stern action against the concerned officials of that work. The ADM expressed his strong resentment against such negligence of the authority in such a serious matter and instructed to take steps immediately.

On 20^th October last, the newly built tank at Joshitilla BOP broke suddenly on a jawan Sriramakrishna. In a critical situation he was taken to Kolkata and there he succumbed to injuries on 25^th October. To shed the responsibility, the DWS authority tried to make the story that, the tank was not strong enough till then to fill water and use. However, the pipe line that the engineer and contractor connected to the tank depicted the planned cock and bull story of the authority. Now what happen in future with the concerned engineer and contractor is the matter to be seen.
