AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Former Congress leader, opposition leader, PAC Chairman, Tripura’s BJP Law Minister now, Ratanlal Nath is trying best to make an easy escape from PWD scam case, whereas he is equally involved in it is scam as he as the PAC Chairman gave clean-chit to the construction of 2008. Also, this case itself was a politically motivated case which had shown how BJP Party office is misusing Govt files led by Law Minister Ratanlal Nath and amid much brutality displayed on camera by Police against Badal Chowdhury, Ratanlal Nath said that what police did it was the correct thing to do. He also signaled, Govt is soon getting a report on Badal Chowdhury which will say that Badal Chowdhury’s health was okay and immediately to be taken to court for Police custody. Moreover, a question raised, remained unanswered, how being a Law Minister, Ratanlal Nath took the Govt files to the Party office ? His action is under Section 420 as allegation raised against him for taking Govt property into a Politcal Party headquarter, which will be a proven as a crime even if 10 years later investigation is called against him and video footage displays clearly that Ratanlal Nath on 16th October was dictating from BJP HQ seating with BJP leaders from CPI-M Govt era’s official files.

“If Badal Choudhury is guilty, then in future, Tripura’s present Chief Minister Biplab Deb will be a thief”, such has been said by eminent Lawyer Bikash Bhattacharjee after BJP Govt and its police’s illegal, brutal tortures on former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury. Bhattacharjee raised question, how at the PAC a work is approved and then the Govt claiming it a scam ? Then all the members of the house itself is guilty of that for approving PWD construction work.

According to the IPC, Section 420 states that whoever cheats and thereby dishonestly induces the person deceived to deliver any property to any person, or to make, alter or destroy the whole or any part of a valuable security, or anything which is signed or sealed, and which is capable of being converted into a valuable security, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.

Here top leaders suspected to deceive public and Judiciary.

This will be major legal point in Badal Chowdhury case also to show Govt’s politically motivated actions against opposition leaders and pressures on state police.

Congress leader Subal Bhowmik demanded arrest of Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath in the same case against former PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury.
In a press conference, Bhowmik said, " In 2008, when the scam related to fly-over is reported to be happened, that time Ratan Lal Nath was the opposition leader in Assembly. So the decision of this extra expenditure couldn't be taken without his consent. If Badal Chowdhury got arrested than Ratan Lal Nath should also get arrested".

He also said that "Where was our present law Minister at that time when this scam was happening?  As he was silent at that time that means he was also involved in this and he has no right to say protest against this scam or Badal Chowdhury now. "

On October 16 when the hearing was going on at District court about Badal Chowdhury’s bail plea on that time, the Law Minister held press meet in BJP Office with these documents, called Badal Chowdhury as “Criminal” and also said, “POLICE DO NOT NEED SEARCH WARRANT TO FIND OUT A CRIMINAL”. It means before even court started the legal procedures properly, Ratanlal Nath announced Badal Chowdhury as “Criminal”.

Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman hit Ratanlal Nath for disapproving self supported Public Accounts Committee's (PAC) report of the Assembly. He asked, the Assembly in his presence and approval, gave cleanchit to the project work and funding issues but today sitting in a party office, he has denied own approval.
