AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): Tripura Police’s illegal acts, excesses over ailing Ex-Minister Badal Chowdhury issue being condemned statewide after daughter Shreya Chowdhury questioned BJP Govt’s political revenge game, inhuman action of posting Police inside ICU at ILS Hospital. TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar questioned Tripura Police’s motive over a false case against Badal Chowdhury, which legal experts already termed a baseless case which would collapse in trial. TIWN Editor termed Police excesses, illegal actions, multilayer tight security blanket at ILS Hospital seems like Police caught a dreaded terrorist like Ajmal Kasab in Tripura. After Home Minister Biplab Deb suspended over 10 Police officials including SP West Ajit Pratap Singh on flimsy grounds over Badal issue, now rest of the police force working like BJP’s slaves.

Knowing fully well about the health condition of Badal Choudhury naturally generated question whether BJP wants to murder Badal Choudhury when for two heart-attacks the Home dept is already responsible. Law Minister Ratanlal Nath’s press conference calling Badal Choudhury a criminal during hearing also condemned statewide when in 2008, he was the opposition and already Congress raised demand of arrest of Ratanlal Nath too. Daughter of Badal Choudhury Shreta Choudhury asked the Govt to keep minimum “humanity”. 

She also explained, how one after one cases were designed for her father in last few months just to bring a spot on his spotless record, which was also praised always even by the opposition when Badal Choudhury was a Minister but now same people are torturing Badal Choudhury by haunting him with police across. 

Talking to Journalist Saikat Talapatra, Badal Choudhury’s daughter Shreya Chowdhury said, “When my father was a Minister the opposition leaders who are now ruling the state, they only praised Badal Choudhury saying, Badal Choudhury is the only leader who is hard-working as well as honest to his work. Many of those leaders used to mention that Badal Choudhury’s record has been neat and clean and now to spot his clean image they are now trying their best.

But the same people when came in power started targeted only Badal Choudhury in an organized and planwise move. First via CBI he was harassed in Rose Valley case where he received Clean-Chit. Then the flyover issue came and from Delhi as well as High Court lastly initiated the inauguration programme. The one after one, he (Badal Chouhdury) is only being targeted”.

“The whole issue is clear that a blueprinted intrigue against my father. From bail-bond submission’s rejection to each move, even police always are trying to say that they are pressurized by the upper layer. So, my question is whose pressure ? The pressure is only from the Chief Minister or who is the current Home Minister and both are same persons”, said Shreya Choudhury.

“Badal Choudhury has completed all developmental works possible and many people question if he is too ill, why did he fought the election. In reply I will say, whatever my father did in his serious health condition, if any of this present Govt’s Minister can do, I personally will visit him in his residence and congratulate him”, said Shreya Choudhury.

“Before 8 years he underwent stroke and then many more issues, surgeries. Now when Doctors including Govt doctors said that no stress should be given to Badal Choudhury still there is no respite from harassment. When doctors said at least 2 persons are needed if Badal Choudhury tries to go somewhere in such situation an attempt was taken to take him to the court”, she added.

She also expressed resentment over continuous two police officers’ present in the cabin of Badal Choudhury asking whether Badal Choudhury’s family members also does not have any liberty to live ?

“All these things clearly shows, the motive of the Govt. In Agartala city, in Tripura’s history whether any high level criminal was searched like this. My father situation is very critical and now my mother is too ill, but still nobody is allowed in the cabin except me and police”, Shreya Choudhury said.

She further requested the Govt not to lose “humanity” like this just because of political issues, adding, “Public are not taking your behaviours in good way”.

However, after knowing that Police officers are kept inside Badal Choudhury’s ICU cabin it has shocked the media world and also questions are raising whether it is a deep intrigue to murder Badal Choudhury by the BJP so that CPI-M loses one strong leader. The recently took place heart attack’s cause was also continuous mental torture and inhuman revengeful attitude of the BJP Govt.
