AGARTALA, Oct 20 ( TIWN ) : On the day of hearing of the former PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury case at Tripura High Court, after the end of long hearing session from 2pm to 5 pm, Advocate Bikash Bhattacharya and Advocate Purushottam Roy Barman, while talking to media said that there's no valid point stands against Badal Chowdhury, it is a complete politically motivated case.

"It appears from the record that there was a decision by the highest authority that this sort of infrastructural development could not be done by local contractors, therefore it was decided to be done through central public sector undertakings and well reputed contractors. And the rate quoted by them was much higher in respect of the scheduled rates. Work was done, money was paid, there has been no allegation or any misappropriation. The allegation in the FIR was this expenditure was done without the consent of the cabinet. Therefore on the basis of the allegation no criminal case could be made out and this is absolutely a case of political revenge. " Said Advocate Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya.

Advocate Purushottam Roy Barman also said that the decision was taken by the government with the complete consent of Assembly in presence of members from different political party. So there can not be any allegation made against Badal Chowdhury .

Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya also said that, the way Police is showing their extreme interest in taking him into custody is a absolute sign of political Revenge.

It is to mention that from past 5-6 days the way Tripura police is illegally searching for Badal Chowdhury in every part of the state, without any search warrant, is the proof of Tripura Police, being the complete bootlicker of JUMLA Govt. BJP, after getting highly unpopular among the public in last 18 months for their own activities, is now targeting the opposition leaders, lodging false FIR through their bootlicking Police Department.

High Court will be giving their judgment on this case by tomorrow. Now it is to be seen if the justice still breaths in this state or not on tomorrow.
