AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Defying all data, ruling BJP continues to insist public not to be worried for Indian economy and the latest statement of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad who said, economic slowdown is fake propaganda as film industry is not going through losses. In the same way, when profit drought is visible, with full of evidence in each street and corner of the road, BJP leaders’ unending propaganda about increasing job-creators could not modify the unemployment data which has kept Tripura in top position in unemployment rate among all Indian state. Infact now BMS is preparing dais to go in protest against Modi Govt’s decision of “privatization”.Amid nationwide economic disaster, clueless fall of markets, job slashings, no manufacturing, Tripura BJP MLA Dilip Das has asked Tripura youths better they become job-creators instead of job seekers. He alleged, over 73% of the budget go for the employees salaries and thus the mentality as 'job-seekers' must be altered now.

28% youths are in India left jobless which is highest in last 50 years, whereas 31.2% are unemployed in Tripura under CMIE report. Congress, CPI-M have scheduled massive protests against the downed economy, job-slashing and massive economic crisis.

Amid nationwide economic disaster, clueless fall of markets, job slashings, no manufacturing, Tripura BJP MLA Dilip Das has asked Tripura youths better they become job-creators instead of job seekers. He alleged, over 73% of the budget go for the employees salaries and thus the mentality of getting profits without returning anything must take a change now.

With slow-down, heavy fall on GDP and massive unemployment, job-terminations, opposition CPI-M and Congress parties have geared up for massive protests in the state Tripura, as Tripura is now at top position in the unemployment rates. Congress today to voice against Govt’s anti-people decisions of imposing taxes, increasing prices from fuel to electricity whereas CPI-M will hoist protest on 15th October.

Congress criticized the Govt for massive terminations of employees who were working on contract basis including JICA, NHM, MGNREGA etc.

What CMIE says ? According to CMIE report published for the September month, 2019 India’s urban area’s unemployment rate is 9.9% whereas rural unemployment rate is 6.7%. More suffered state is among all Indian states is Tripura whose unemployment rate is now 31.2%. Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) has revealed its monthly data for Indian unemployment rate for September-2019, listing Tripura at the top position in unemployment rate with 31.2%. Indian national unemployment rate is 7.3% and among 29 states, Tripura has bagged the top position this time. Tripura constantly has remained at the top position in unemployment rate, although in August, 2019 it dropped in the second position with 26.4% but this month it jumped at top position with 31.2%. Delhi is now in second position in unemployment rate with 20.4% and Haryana is 3rd with 20.3%.CMIE data has generated tension further when Tripura like many other states is reeling under economic crisis.

If Central BJP Govt could fulfill the promise which it made before the Election about employment generation including 50,000 Govt jobs per year, the situation could be different and better.

ILO Data is more horrifying : National unemployment rate of India is much higher than World Unemployment rate and highest unemployment rate of India of last 50 years. According to ILO the unemployment rate is only 4.95% at the world level and India’s unemployment rate is 7.3%.
