AGARTALA, Oct 18 (TIWN): Ratan Lal committed a highly illegal act by misusing his Minister Post as he transported State Govt’s important documents from Secretariat to BJP Party office which is illegal. “Disloyalty”, “Cheating” of people’s faith by Law Minister Ratanlal Nath and his team has exposed in broad-day light after he was caught in camera with important Govt files in the BJP headquarter. Ratan was announcing CPI-M former PWD Minister, MLA Badal Choudhury as Criminal when the hearing of Badal Choudhury’s case was going on at the District Court. There are already suspects of slashing Govt records from 2008-09 FY’s files to put the opposition leaders and retired officials in the jail, which is nothing but fraud-activity where in future Ratanlal Nath can be trapped by own disclosed data. His action is under Section 420 as allegation raised against him for taking Govt property into a Politcal Party headquarter, which will be a proven as a crime even if 10 years later investigation is called against him and video footage displays clearly that Ratanlal Nath on 16th October was dictating from BJP HQ seating with BJP leaders from CPI-M Govt era’s official files. Ratanlal Nath also said, Y P Singh is the 3rd accused whereas Govt Lawyers told media clearly that YP Singh’s name is not yet in the case.

WHY Ratan  Lal’s act is 420 ?

According to the IPC, Section 420 states that whoever cheats and thereby dishonestly induces the person deceived to deliver any property to any person, or to make, alter or destroy the whole or any part of a valuable security, or anything which is signed or sealed, and which is capable of being converted into a valuable security, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.

On October 16 when the hearing was going on at District court about Badal Choudhury’s bail plea on that time, the Law Minister held press meet in BJP Office with these documents, called Badal Choudhury as “Criminal” and also said, “POLICE DO NOT NEED SEARCH WARRANT TO FIND OUT A CRIMINAL”. It means before even court started the legal procedures properly, Ratanlal Nath announced Badal Choudhury as “Criminal”.

On October 16, at District Court, Advocates of former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury have complained against Law Minister Ratanlal Nath for holding press conference even before the hearing in Badal Choudhury’s case ended for today. The complaint to the District judge was done during hearing procedure and while Badal Choudhury's advocates were in argument with Govt lawyers.

Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman hit Ratanlal Nath for disapproving self supported Public Accounts Committee's (PAC) report of the Assembly. He asked, the Assembly in his presence and approval, gave cleanchit to the project work and funding issues but today sitting in a party office, he has denied own approval.

Barman also said, this press was done just to create a fear factor and to influence the hearing. 

"We have complained the judge about all illegal activities of the Govt and how Police denied to take the bail bond", said Purushottom Roy Barman.

Adv Arindam Bhattacharjee sounded confident about the hearing procedure and repeated that there is no ground in this case. 

The advocates condemned the press conference in a BJP party office by Law Minister used as a tool to malign Badal Choudhury's image according to his wishes on baseless ground.

What Ratanlal Nath says in Press meet ?

According to Ratanlal Nath without the then CM Manik Sarkar’s knowledge Badal Chouhdury along with Principal Secretary Y P Singh and CE Sunil Bhowmik involved in the scam.Nath said, there was no cabinet meet, which has claimed by Badal Choudhury’s team. Nath said, such type of strange tender was never called earlier and such a broad day light robbery was never done.

The decision was taken “Without Cabinet Meeting”, claimed Ratanlal Nath. He accused Y P Singh as the main culprit. Referring Melarmath Party office raid, Nath said, when police try to find a criminal there is no need of search warrant. He also said, arrest is a part of investigation and if not why Badal Choudhury kept hiding on October 14?
